I fly my Python with a railgun and the only thing I notice is I have a bit less ammo overall. The 10% RoF is mostly negligible in most engagements.
The really sad thing is that the RoF nerf was a direct result of the pilot stacking bug. CCP actually couldn't figure out how to fix it, so they neutered the hell out of base RoF so that way the still active pilot stacking bug would not only be less noticeable, but much less effective.
Basically it's par for the course with DUST: if duct tape can't fix it, it ain't broke.

Basically it's par for the course with DUST: if duct tape can't fix it, it ain't broke. Band-aids...... The only fix we get in Dust. I have a dream that some day Dust will have a full dev team lead by Ratatti so we can see his leadership in all its glory. ^ Now considering this as my sig.

I used that fit right there and I got hit with one swarm- I activated hardener - got hit by second swarm and died before the 2 second delay on hardener ended. who dafuq activates their hardener after they get hit. thats like exercising after your all ready fat.

Very VERY often the first set of swarms won't render, won't make a sound, you just take a **** load of damage out of nowhere.
If you're going to bash on pilots, keep a DS in the air for more than 10 seconds against REAL AV, which you VERY clearly have not ever done.

Yet with that approach you very rarely contribute anything, because you spend the vast majority of your time running away on cooldown, even as you admit, running away at the height of your cycle. You accomplish nothing but feeding the enemy team WP.
Also, dual hardener fit is BEGGING to be one shot by railguns.

(not practical to some people who do wait for it) nor run at the height of my cycle. I run when I know that two more volleys of swarms will take me out. Regardless, by that time I know exactly where the swarmers are and I just come right back down when my shield has recharged and take them out. Do I lose dropships? Of course, they are stupidly underpowered and explode when you look at them the wrong way; but then I usually only bring them out when people camp on rooftops or building structures for extra kills. I'm not about that dual hardened life brah.
Well your example stated two hardeners, so I kinda just figured you were running two hardeners....
Cuz if you run dual hardener and don't wait for CD, you're going to die. A lot.
Oops, my reading comp is 0. Too tired. That's AB not Hardener. Yea that sounds about par for the course. No AB on an incybus is just death. All in all it's just not a satisfying experience anymore. Half the time I fly I just hug the flight ceiling or do random maneuvers around the map until I find a tank or dropship to kill. AV Incubus has gotten a lot more boring.
